WHAT IS PELARGONIUM USED FOR TODAY?
Alcohol extract made from Pelargonium sidoides is very effective as a treatment for various respiratory problems, including acute bronchitis, the common cold, sinusitis, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis. It would be a good herbal supplement in case of an incidence of coronavirus. Large studies have been used to substantiate the uses of Pelargonium.
The studies conducted require 468 adults with recent onset of acute bronchitis who were given either placebo or a standard alcohol extract of Pelargonium sidoides 3 times daily for a week. The results showed a significantly greater improvement in symptoms in the treatment group as compared to the placebo group. To ensure validity, this study was repeated with different amounts of infected adults, and once again the group who were treated with the pelargonium extract recovered much faster than those treated with placebo. The group who recovered faster were able to return to work in no more than two days without having to worry about being slowed down by illness. DOSAGE Shake well before use. 4-6 sprays 2 times daily. May be taken with fruit juice, herbal tea, or water. Formulated by a qualified registered herbalist.
