Hibiscus Petals (Hibiscus sabdariffa)
Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is a flowering plant known for its distinctive deep red petals and naturally tart, fruity flavour. The dried petals are widely used in herbal teas, infusions, beverages and culinary preparations around the world.
When steeped in hot water, Hibiscus Petals produce a vibrant ruby-red infusion with a refreshing, slightly sharp taste that can be enjoyed either hot or cold. They can be used on their own or blended with other herbs, fruits and spices.
Hibiscus naturally contains a variety of plant compounds and pigments responsible for its characteristic colour and flavour.
